After reading the story we were given a theme and as a team we were supposed to explain that theme in a movie.
Tears of a tiger video presentation reflection
This project was, to put it simply was annoying. The movie was to entertain the class, but making the movie caused problems with my friends and me, although we were able to fix them I never want to pick my partners in a class assignment again. I chose Ashley and James as my partners mostly because I didn’t want to move from my seat and because they are both my friends. I chose them because my brother told me to never do a project with friends it causes problems so I wanted to prove him wrong, it didn’t work out like I wanted.
How the group did the work was simple, I wrote the script and edited the film, James and Ashley did the acting. I may have written the script, but really I just gave them the direction for their conversation (if that makes sense). The change was mostly how it was recorded. In the beginning James and Ashley decided that Andy was going to call Keisha and get her mom which was going to be me but then James wanted to the movie to end fast so we cut that part, that and he didn’t want to say Keisha’s last name.
I think I took most of the leadership role, but James and Ashley did do the acting on their own. I did write the script but when it came time to act Ashley and James went with the flow and did the acting on their own accord. I believe I did most of the work but acting is probably harder than editing a movie so I don’t really know who did more work. The most difficult part was really the sound because another two groups were working in the library too. They were a little loud but it was so they could be heard on their video. Another problem was the location, the first time we went to the library we were sort of kicked out, but Ms. Aponte talked to everyone in there and the three groups were able to work.
I am happy with the overall product, I think I did a good job editing and James and Ashley did a good job acting. And if I ever don’t like it I have a copy of it and some bits that didn’t make it into the finaly product so I could make a copy and change the copy. I don’t think I would change anything in the movie other than the way we worked together, I would split the work equally between the three of us. My group did adhere to the deadline, we just didn’t have to go on the first day.
